Our journey began in 1983 when Biddick, Inc. (formerly Trelay Farms, Inc.) of Livingston, Wisconsin, faced a decreased need for their primary product, seed corn. Seizing the opportunity to diversify and explore a new production crop, Rural Route 1 Popcorn was born as a result of an experiment turned into a promising venture.

With a rich history rooted in agricultural expertise, our parent company, Biddick, Inc., has been a trusted producer of seed corn since 1906. Over the years, they expanded their production and sales to include various crops such as oats, winter wheat, barley, grasses, soybeans, alfalfa, cattle, and finally, popcorn.
